In the lick we are using the chords F and Bb, and in this example we are playing both chords using the D shape. The first thing you need to remember is that the D shape has pentatonic shape 3 underneath it, so that is where the notes of the lick are sourced. On the website, we show a fretboard diagram to clarify these ideas. To really digest the lick and learn it properly you need to master the rhythm of it. To help with this we have the full tab of the exercise. Use the slow down and looper functions on the tab viewer to help you master the lick!
